Nights

What are Kandil Nights?
The holy nights (Kandil nights) are one of the holy nights that we try to revive with worship and obedience. These are five; Mawlid night, Regaib night, Mirac night, Berat night and Kadir Night. There is a Hadith about the revival of others except Mawlid night. The reason why it is called Kandil (holy night); During the reign of Selim II, religious nights were announced with oil lamps lit on the minarets. On those nights, lamps were lit in the Masjids and people were invited to revive together. This method has continued since then. Unfortunately, there are those who say that it is heresy to revive these nights together, that is, in congregation, but it is a great reward to revive these nights by illuminating the mosques, giving sermons, reciting the Holy Quran, worshiping and obeying. These Kandils (holy nights) are a great opportunity for us Muslims, as they enable many Muslims who do not know how to worship and who could not learn their religion in their youth, to learn their religion and spend that night in worship. How can gathering on a holy night for the guidance of people be heresy, how can it be seen as bad?
